THE CCN COIN CERTIFICATION AND GRADING PROCESS
Step 1: Receiving
Coin certification process involves receiving coins, where each coin is carefully logged and assigned a unique identification number. This ensures accurate tracking and security throughout the entire grading process.​
Step 2: Coin Grading
Once coins are entered into our database,
they are barcoded and securely stored u-
ntil they are ready for grading. A specialist
first examines coins requiring a variety of designations to confirm their classification. To ensure impartiality, our grading process is anonymous, with at least two professional numismatists examining each coin independently.
Step 3: Encapsulating
The coin is carefully encapsulated in a custom case.
This protective casing not only preserves the coin’s
condition but also includes its unique identification
and grade, ensuring its long-term security and
authenticity.
Step 4: Shipping
Shipping involves delivering the inspected coins to our Shipping Department for secure packaging. Each coin is carefully counted, and labels are verified against the original invoice to ensure accuracy before shipment, maintaining the integrity of our certification process.

Collectors have greater confidence in Classical Collectors Numismatics-certified coins because each coin is backed by our stringent authenticity pledge. This pledge offers remedies in the rare event
that a certified coin is found to be not genuine or over graded, ensuring our commitment
to maintaining the highest standards in the industry.
Coin Grading & Pricing
For a fee of approximately $40, your coin will be graded on a Letter scale and encapsulated. Shipping costs are additional. For an extra $15, you can have your coin graded based on strike and surface quality. Handling time is around 30 days.

A $10 handling fee applies to all submissions. Shipping costs are not included.

Turnaround times reflect the estimated number of working days to complete a submission delivered to our facility today. Please note that turnaround times are estimates only and are NOT guaranteed.
Orders cannot be changed or canceled once they are in transit to our facility.
